Privacy
accVIEW takes your privacy and the security of your data extremely seriously.
Data is only stored if it is used. We do not retrieve any data that is not required. API keys are not stored, and are exempt from logging or transmission.
The exception to API key storage is for user accounts (not corporate applicants); we store API keys with accounts to ensure continued security of the system by periodic revalidation of your main character's corporation.
There are no administrative mechanisms for viewing corporate data. There is, in fact, no administration section to this website.
Data is only shared within corporations. It is up to corporations to enforce proper data security within their ranks.
Security
accVIEW is hosted on a secured Linux server. The server is regularly updated and kept current with recent security updates. SSL support is not available due to the high cost of a SSL certificate from a trusted certificate authority.
We do not store API keys of corporate applicants. The service holds them temporarily for approximately 10-60 seconds per request made to pass them to a background job worker on the same server via a secure database connection. As soon as the job is complete, the data is discarded.
